It started with a sketch. Ana drew up a moon-shaped litter box that could clean itself with a single spin — and Isaac built it. Prototype after prototype, they refined it in their own home.Their cats, Rosie & Peaches, were the first testers — and the toughest critics. Yes. Moonbox launches on Kickstarter, and if the campaign doesn't reach its goal, you're fully refunded — you're never charged unless the project funds.
Moonbox is designed for cats of all sizes, including multi-cat households. With a spacious 14" x 14" litter floor area, a huge 25+ lb capacity, and a wide opening, every cat has room to move comfortably.
Moonbox works with standard clumping litter — the kind most cat owners already use. The spin-and-separate mechanism is designed around clumping litter, so there's no need to switch brands or buy anything proprietary.
The prototype you see in our videos is 3D printed so we could test and refine the design. The final production version will be made from durable injection-molded ABS plastic — the same tough, easy-to-clean material used in premium pet products.
